| Citizens Against Government Waste, or CAGW, is a national watch dog group that tries to put limits on government spending, that they say is wasteful, and harmful to taxpayers. They've taken aim at several groups across the country, including the Lobster Institute and the Lobstercam, both based out of Maine. The Lobster Institute was set up by the Maine Lobstermens Association, the Massachusetts Lobstermens Association, the Maine Pound Owners Association, the Maine Import/Export Dealers Association and the University of Maine in an effort to sustain lobster resources while also maintaining a steady fishery. They work in connection with the lobstercam, which is a camera hooked up to a lobster trap, that allows people to view how lobsters are caught, live on the world wide web. |
